Do you want an interesting and educational job and be there for individuals who need support to manage their daily lives? Are you a person with good patience, who appreciates variety and values meaningful work? Then we have the summer job for you! We are now looking for vacation substitutes for the summer of 2026.

Operations

In the area of functional support, you will work with individuals who have various functional variations. Within this area, there are different types of workplaces such as group homes, short-term accommodations, daily activities, housing support, and personal assistance.

Lillgården

In the group home, individuals live in their own apartments. Staff are available around the clock and offer individually tailored support based on interests and needs.

Cornetten

Housing support/social psychiatry involves motivating and supporting individuals with disabilities or those who otherwise need support to engage in a social community and achieve participation in society.

Solgården

is a recreational/short-term accommodation for children and young people within LSS. Here, childcare workers and nursing assistants focus on interaction, pedagogy for lifelong learning based on the child's needs.

Personal Assistance

As a personal assistant, your task is to facilitate for the user, the person with a disability, to take care of themselves. This may involve cooking, hygiene, and managing the home. As a personal assistant, you have the opportunity to brighten the user's day with various activities based on the user's own interests.

Job Responsibilities

Your job will involve creating well-being and security for individuals who need it the most.

The work involves supporting the individual based on their needs and circumstances.

Qualifications and Previous Experience

We expect that you who are applying have a good attitude and an interest in working with people. Experience or education in similar work/practice is an advantage but not a requirement. As a person, you are responsible, cooperative, and engaged in your work.

In order to communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and obtain medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form and possess good computer skills. You must be at least 18 years old to work with us.

A driver's license (B) is an advantage.

Introduction and Working Hours

Before starting your employment, you will be invited to an introduction. The introduction session is mandatory. To ensure that you have the right conditions to thrive and feel that you can do a good job, you will undergo a number of introductory sessions at the workplace where you are offered employment.

Working hours may vary, and work may be scheduled during the day, evening, night, and weekends. We generally do not grant leave during your substitute period.

Other

If you apply today, you have the opportunity to start working before the summer. There is a possibility of extending employment after the summer period.

We will handle incoming applications on an ongoing basis.

For employment at Solgården, a police record extract is required. This must be presented before employment is granted. You can apply for this at the Police Authority, where you select the form “Extract for work with children with disabilities.” You also need to show that you have Swedish citizenship or a work permit.

Norberg Municipality applies a smoke-free working time.
